Player of the Day

Player of the Day

Kick, kick!
I kick the ball with my foot, "Smash!"

Kick, kick!
I kick the ball fast to a person on my team.

Kick, kick!
I run with the ball, whoosh.

Kick, kick!
I walk with the ball and I dribble the ball.

Kick, kick!
I kick and score a goal, "Smash!"

Kick, kick!
I kick in a circle.

Kick, kick!
I had an awesome day!

Moon Shapes

The moon is a yellow banana falling down from the sky.
The moon is a flower petal sitting in the sky.
The moon is a popcorn kernel popping all around.
The moon is a pooh bear sleeping in his bed.
The moon is a golden fish swimming in the air up above my head.
The moon is a fiery bed up in the sky.
The moon is a soft feather floating down to the ground.
The moon is a fantail feather glowing over the earth.
The moon is a happy face shining down at me.
The moon is fairy dust sparkling down at me.
The moon is a yellow piece of paper falling from the sky.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Sounds like pop, crunch, crackle.
Looks like hopping fluffy lambs.
Tastes like butter and salt.
Feels like paper and bumpy rocks.
Smells like the movies.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves

Leaves can be colourful like red and yellow and purple. The leaves are not really on trees they fell into the sea if the tress are close to the sea. You will swim with the leaves too, if you splash the leaves will float away a bit but the next day they will come back again.
Leave fall off the trees in Autumn not in the other three seasons.
I love Autumn because the leaves are different colours not just one colour.

Senses

I like the taste of ice cream
melting in my mouth.

I like the smell of strawberries
crunching in my mouth.

I like the feel of water
shining on my hands.

I like the sound of music
echoing in my ears.

I like the look of mountains
towering high in the sky.

Remember When...

Remember when Zoe and her Mum drove us to the rocky shore to meet all of the school children. Annabella, me and Zoe came all together. We watched a movie in the car, it was Chugging Time.
We climbed on the rocks and saw crabs in the rock pools. They were hiding in the rocks.
We saw a medium sized crab, it had sharp pincers.
Remember when we went around the Mount, my feet got very hot and my legs got tired. The whole school got tired. My mum came at morning tea time. Then she stayed with me for the rest of the time. Mum, Daniel and me caught up to my learning team and Daniel kept following me until we stopped at the rock pools and Daniel got to have a swim and I built a sand castle and Leah helped me then we watched the big Queen Elizabeth boat sail out to sea.
We had fish and sausages for dinner and that was our rocky shore day.

Starfish

Starfish

Starfish look like stars in the sky but they are under water animals. Some starfish are smooth and some starfish are bumpy.

What starfish eat.
They open a mussel a teeny tiny bit and they make their own body go into the mussel and they eat the things inside the mussel. Then they pull their stomach back into their own body.

How does it move
Starfish tumble around and around to move under water. Their tube feet help them to stick to rocks.

When are babies born
They lay eggs, then the baby eggs hatch and the baby starfish are littler than their mummy starfish. The baby starfish can’t go swimming until they are bigger.

What they look like
They can be smooth or bumpy. They can be any of those things. They might even be a little bit flat.

Starfish can do a lot of things on their own. They are very clever the way they move with their tube feet helping them to stick to rocks.
